Stephanie and Chad had a beautiful wedding filled with friends, dancing and lots of love. It was really one of those weddings that makes you give one of those satisfied, content sighs as you head home that translates to “well done – an evening well spent.” It wasn’t over-the-top, and it wasn’t lacking. Their wedding was juuuuust right. And we have a confession… We were a bit surprised.
We didn’t tell Stephanie and Chad, but we were a little worried about the wedding coming together with fast and long-distance planning. Right in the middle of wedding planning, Stephanie got a ballin’ job in Florida, so they packed up and moved. When we met with them, planning wasn’t near complete, and we think we were a little more nervous about what was left to be done than they were! When we sent them a shot list and timeline a few weeks before their big day, Stephanie had NO EDITS! Whaaaa? Brides always have edits!
We were silly for doubting them, though, because they pulled it off PERFECTLY. The colors were great, Stephanie looked stunning, the day was organized – they are just those kinds of people who take everything in stride and don’t stress. They have that “it’s all going to be OK” attitude that we all long for. It was a lovely ceremony, an awesome reception and it was just a day where these two lovebirds goofed off and spend time with each other and the ones they love. They knew what they were doing the whole time, and we were so honored to be a long for the ride.
The “first look” with these two was beautiful. They hugged, kissed, told each other how great they looked, but the seriousness was a bit short lived. The jokes and funny faces started right away, which is exactly what you would expect from their personalities. They are some of the funniest, light-hearted people we’ve met through this journey thus far – the kind of people that are just effortless to talk to and laugh with. But then, when the ceremony came, the tears began to flow. These two love to laugh and joke with each other, but it also obvious that love each other deeply. The perfect recipe for a long and happy marriage if you ask us!
The ceremony was beautiful. With a huge wall full of windows with the sun BEAMING through, it gave the ceremony an angelic glow that we loved. Then, the party cranked up during the reception, and these folks partied HARD! It wasn’t just the wedding party, though, which is the case at a lot of weddings. Parents, grandparents, children, friends, even bartenders and caterers were on the dance floor getting down! You just could not resist. The best part of it was that the bride and groom were encouraging it. Stephanie and Chad would both periodically approach us throughout the reception to see if we wanted anything to eat or drink and invited us to join in on their party. We were touched, and truly enjoyed every minute with this couple. They made us laugh and feel 100% part of their day, and we hope that we did the same for them.
CONGRATULATIONS, Stephanie and Chad! We wish you a lifetime of love and happiness!
