The Wootens

We just love the Wooten family. This is our second time to photograph them, and we’re hoping for many more. Brittney and Josh are super cool, and their children, Harper and Kinley “KK” Wooten, are the subjects of one of the cutest mini sessions we’ve ever done (check out their skills with baby chicks last Easter here!). They didn’t hold back the cuteness this time, either, but there was a challenge. It was FREEZING and the wind was blowing so hard. The two little ones were shivering and miserable, and all they wanted to do was bury their faces and cuddle up with mom and dad. Smiling for family photos was not on their agenda that morning.

Mom and dad came to the rescue, though. Brittney and Josh’s awesome parenting skills really shined when halfway through the shoot, they took the kiddos back to the car for a pep talk that really did the trick. They came running back out with great attitudes to let us snap some photos of them one more time. We also learned that if we used the words “po po” and “pickle head,” they would giggle so hard and look right at our cameras, so we added those words to our vocabulary pronto.
