It was a dark, cold, and stormy Halloween night when we became a part of Allie & Oz’s big secret. They had just gotten married. And no one had a clue.
We received an email from Allie a week prior saying that she and Oz were going to elope, and asked us to take their wedding portraits. She explained to us that the two had been together for years, and they decided that when it was time, it was just time. They tied the knot and met us at Vulcan Park and Museum for some photos, which is where they will have their wedding reception celebration in January.
Just because these two didn’t have a big ceremony with lots of guests doesn’t mean that their wedding day was any less romantic. Allie was stunning in her dress and Oz was so handsome in his dapper suit. They seemed so in love and like true best friends. We could tell instantly that this marriage was a long time coming, and they were so happy that the day had finally arrived.
We worked fast to get their wedding portraits. It was storming without rain – wind blowing hard, leaves flying everywhere – and we were just waiting on the bottom to drop and the rain to come. Oh, did we mention the temperature was in the thirties? The overcast, dreary environment made for an incredible backdrop that complimented their modern wardrobe and floral arrangement perfectly. We powered through the rainless storm and got to witness the undeniable chemistry between this beautiful couple on one of the most important days of their lives, and we couldn’t be more happy for them.
