Look up “freakin’ adorable” in the dictionary, and you’ll find Kaitlyn and Cole’s cute mugs in the center of the page. It always makes our job so easy and fun when couples have a natural chemistry together like these two do. Their frequent sweet kisses and their more frequent laughter made for some of the most authentic and joyful photos. We had a blast with these engagement shoot masters!
We shot at Oak Mountain State Park on a very sunny and warm Sunday evening. The only bad part about the beautiful weather was that, because it was the first comfortable day Alabama we’ve had in a while, everyone and their outdoor-enthusiast brother was at the Park. The hikers, soccer players and picnic goers were everywhere, so it was a little difficult to find beautiful, secluded locations that we could tell made Kaitlyn and Cole feel at ease. (It is hard to channel romance when there’s a jogger stretching and panting 10 feet away in uncomfortably short shorts!) They were very patient, though, so we took our time and waited out the crowd when we needed to, and the shoot turned out beautifully!
We’re thrilled to be a part of Kaitlyn and Cole’s August wedding at Barn at Shady Lane. We know it will be absolutely beautiful, and we can’t wait!
