You always hear the phrase, “opposites attract,” but as you’re probably aware, that’s not always the case. Instead of one being the perfect compliment to the other, Caitlin and Sean are the perfect extension of one another. They are both fun, bubbly and full of joy. When we hung out with them for their engagement shoot (which you can see here), the day was full of face-hurting laughter and love. Their wedding day was no different.
When we arrived, Caitlin was just as calm as she could be. Let’s face it, you can’t get married without a little, or a lot, of stress rearing its head at some point in the day. Eric, for example, somehow forgot his tux on our wedding day, and we forgot to bring our exit sparklers (no big deal, right?). This stuff happens. And even if it doesn’t, the anticipation of the day is sometimes enough to make someone want to pull their professionally-styled hair out. Caitlin’s attitude was free of nerves or stress, and the atmosphere of the day followed suit.
Caitlin incorporated sentimental family heirlooms into her day, like her mother’s gorgeous, cathedral veil she wore when she got married 30 years ago. It was the perfect compliment to her dress, and the combination of both flowed gracefully and elegantly down the aisle.
Caitlin and Sean didn’t take their eyes off one another throughout the entire ceremony. When there are hundreds of your closest friends and family members – some of whom you haven’t seen in months or years – watching you, sharing this moment with you, it can be so easy to get caught up in the emotions of the environment and look out at the crowd. Not these two. They tuned every distraction out and focused solely on each other, from the first prayer to the first kiss.
A joyful heart is one of the main ingredients you need in order to build a happy, long-lasting relationship. Caitlin and Sean have enough of that ingredient to last a lifetime, as well as love, affection and adoration. Congrats, you guys!!
