Oh, Caitlin and Jonathan. Where do we start!? These two adore each other. They are puppy love personified, but they’ve been together for years. They have grown up together, but they still absolutely adore being in the presence of one another. It’s something so special, and we have a feeling that they will still be insane about each other for years and years to come. Look out, world, for the 85-year-old Mr. and Mrs. Atkins, smooching in a retirement community near you!
Their love story is amazing, and it makes us ask ourselves “Who needs canoes or fire escapes!?” And, Jamie is very proud to have played a very small role in this match made in heaven. Here’s the story: Once upon a time, Jamie and Caitlin were elementary school pals who went trick-or-treating together. While walking Jamie’s neighborhood one fateful Halloween night, Caitlin and Jamie ran into Jonathan (who lived one street over from Jamie at the time), and that was the first time that Caitlin laid eyes on her future husband! The meeting didn’t last long, though, because Jamie said “Don’t talk to him! He’s the meanest kid in the neighborhood!” and pulled Caitlin away. Then, when Caitlin and Jonathan’s paths crossed again many years later, Caitlin remembered him as The Meanest Kid in the Neighborhood, and it became a joke between them. Jamie can’t really remember if Jonathan was actually a mean kid, but she’s sure glad she “introduced” them!
The wedding day was perfect. The Sonnet House is such a great venue, and the whole day was planned to a T. The one thing you can’t plan, however, is the weather! In the middle of Caitlin and Jonathan’s ceremony, right after her father walked her down the aisle and as one of their best friends was praying over the couple, a monsoon-like storm rolled in! The wedding party and all of the guests moved inside the chapel to finish the ceremony. Everyone was soaking wet, which of course is not how one plans their ideal wedding, but we’re telling you – it was PERFECT. That wedding turned out just the way it was supposed to. Everyone had such a great attitude and sense of humor about the change of plans, and it couldn’t have been a better ceremony! All of Caitlin and Jonathan’s friends and family were gathered together in a small space, ringing out their clothes and focusing on the love of this couple. It was so intimate and beautiful.
We can just imagine you two telling your children your love story, and we know they will love hearing it. Thank you, Caitlin and Jonathan, for allowing us to be a small part of the magic. Congratulations, you two!
