Jessica and Eric met in Washington, D.C., through Jessica’s former boss (who is also Eric’s sister!) at a company event at a Nationals baseball game back in 2013. They talked the entire baseball game, and when Eric asked for Jessica’s number, she gave it to him. But, because of the possible awkwardness that may arise from dating your boss’ brother, Jessica politely turned down Eric’s further advances. She finally gave in, though, and agreed to go out with Eric three weeks later. They went sailing, and the rest is history. Their love speaks for itself. Just being around them, you know that they are head over heels for each other, and you know their relationship is a special one.
We are absolutely crazy about this couple. They are the kind of people we love to be around. So kind, funny, and smart. They are always laughing, and they are so thoughtful. We were blown away at their efforts to make us feel at home during their wedding weekend. This was not necessary in the slightest, as this was the weekend that everyone should be catering to THEM, but Jessica and Eric went above and beyond to make sure their guests and their vendors felt loved and appreciated. They made their wedding day, a day all about them, not about them. They honored the people they love, and they celebrated the relationships they had built. In true Jessica and Eric fashion, they wanted to make sure everyone had a full stomach and a big smile.
The party was bumpin’, y’all. We don’t think we’ve ever seen a reception this lively! From the bride and groom’s amazing swing-style moves, to their dancing on the stage with the band and the all-guests-in-unison rendition of “Wagon Wheel,” Jessica and Eric brought the party. We really believe every single guest was on the dance floor at some point during the reception. Every elderly family member, friend from college, and every child old enough to walk! It was that good. In mid reception, guests were served hot dogs from Jessica and Eric’s favorite local Montgomery spot, Chris’ Hot Dogs, and if they got tired from all the dancing, not to worry, there was also a cart serving up local, fresh-brewed coffee! Every little detail was spot on, and the whole day is one to remember!
We loved being a part of the most beautiful day! The day Eric #MadeHerABader! Thank you, Jessica and Eric, for trusting us to capture such an amazing day and for making us feel like part of the family. We really love you both and consider ourselves lucky to know you! Congratulations, you beautiful people! Watch out, world! Here come the Baders.
P.S. If you passed right by this blog and went straight to the photos below, you probably did a double take. Jessica is a twin, and get this… her sweet twin sister’s name is Jamie! So, with a husband named Eric and a twin named Jamie, we think we were just destined to be friends! Or, at the very least, we were a good way to confuse everyone with two Jamies and two Erics in the room!
