Jacqueline and Jeffrey are two of the sweetest, most joyful, beautiful human beings we’ve ever met! And their love story is perfect. They’ve been together for years, and they first met at church. Jacqueline actually said to a friend upon seeing Jeffrey for the first time, “That is the guy I am going to marry.” Fast forward from childhood to adulthood, and they indeed said, “I do” in that exact church. Jacqueline was right. They’ve grown up together, their families are so close, and now they are finally married. Isn’t that just the best!?
Jacqueline and Jeffrey are hardworking, determined, and so smart. Jacqueline is in the process of getting her Ph.D. in nursing and is conducting incredible breast cancer research, and Jeffrey installs life-saving medical devices for patients every day. They both have such interesting stories, insight and passion about their jobs, and we love hearing all about it!
We absolutely loved being a part of the traditional Vietnamese wedding festivities. First, we shot their engagement session that included Jacqueline’s traditional Vietnamese wedding garb (it’s so beautiful, but we couldn’t show it before the wedding day!! It will be up soon!), and we also got to be a part of the “Tea Ceremony” where Jacqueline and Jeffrey honored their parents. And of course, the traditional Vietnamese ceremony was absolutely beautiful with all of the ceremonious gifts and readings. It really was awesome to witness the customs and the sense of community. For example, at the reception, Jacqueline and Jeffrey visited each table to thank each guest for coming, and one guest at each table proposed a heart-felt toast to the bride and groom. Tears flowed and families were united. It really was amazing to see.
Jacqueline and Jeffrey, we’re so glad you two are our friends! You are an incredible couple, and we know you’re going to make such an outstanding impact on the world around you. You two are so special, and we hope you know how much we enjoyed being a part of this time in your lives. We wish you all the happiness in the world, Mr. and Mrs. Vo!
