We usually begin these blog posts with talk about how gorgeous the wedding day details were and how the party at the reception was hoppin’. And all of that is SO true. But what stands out to us about Megan and Matt – what slaps us in the face and sucker punches us in the gut – is how incredibly lucky WE are to know them. We’ve been going through a lot lately. Nothing too crazy, but just enough to leave us feeling stressed and overwhelmed. We try to put those feelings in the back of our heads on wedding days. Because even though we shoot 40 weddings a year, our couples only do this once in a lifetime, and there’s no time for anything but joy and celebration of the beginning of their forever! We walked into Megan & Matt’s big day with heavy hearts because of what was going on with us personally, and immediately we remembered why we love them so much. We remembered why we thank God that we get to work with incredible human beings like these two. We alway try to serve our couples to the best of our abilities, but without knowing it, Megan and Matt blessed us ten fold.
They just have good heads on their shoulders. Their priorities are where they should be, and there is just so much to learn from these two. They love their families loud, proud, and unconditionally. And they love each other even more. Their attitudes are incredible because they know what is important – they appreciate the gravity of their wedding day, but they don’t sweat the small stuff. They are kind, compassionate and gorgeous inside and out. Their love and their friendship is so apparent, and you can’t help but laugh just being around them.
This summer Sonnet House wedding day, from the stunning sunflower arrangements to the gorgeous evening light, was absolutely breathtaking. We so enjoy shooting at The Sonnet House because of the incredible staff and the beautiful scenery, and this day was no different. It was the perfect setting for such a perfect wedding. The food was delicious, the ceremony was heartfelt, the reception was lively – the only way it could get better is if we could go back and do it again!
Megan and Matt are why we love what we do. They are a shining example of love, positivity, and all that’s right with the world. We absolutely adore this sweet couple, and we know that their marriage will be so full of joy. Congratulations, Mr. and Mrs. Smith. We love you guys!
