Matt has given Ellen flowers throughout their relationship. He’s a sweet guy like that. There were certain times, though, that were so much more than just a small romantic gesture. Three bouquets in particular, however, mean so much to these two and their relationship.
Ellen and Matt first met on a blind date that was set up by two of their mutual friends. They hit it off, laughed all night, and the next day, Ellen received a bouquet of sunflowers from her new friend. Matt’s charm (and smooth move) led to a second date, then a third, then a hundred.
Next, several months into their relationship, Matt attended the Miss Alabama Pageant to watch Ellen compete. After the pageant, it was pouring rain. As Ellen and her family were navigating the post-pageant chaos of loading the car and making sure everything was accounted for, they noticed that Matt was missing. Matt emerged a few minutes later, dripping wet, and running toward Ellen with a bouquet of roses to let her know how proud her was of her for a job well done. Ellen was smitten, and her big brother notes that is the moment he knew Matt was the real deal.
And lastly, we watched as Ellen walked down the grand staircase in Anniston’s Hotel Finial in her wedding gown to meet her groom at the bottom. He turned around, laid tear-filled eyes on his beautiful bride for the first time on their wedding day, and presented her with her gorgeous bridal bouquet. It was one of the most emotional, joy-filled first looks we’ve ever seen. The pictures speak for themselves.
Ellen and Matt, we are so grateful for those three bouquets of flowers, because they led to this marriage. Your wedding day was perfection. From your deep, incredible love and your amazing family and friends to the gorgeous details and the incredible celebration – it was SUCH a special day. Thank you for your friendship and for trusting us with these memories. We’re honored and grateful to know you both! Congratulations, Mitchell’s! We love you guys so very much!
