Anna & Rusty’s engagement session fell right in the middle of a cold front on the second day of Spring. Before and after their session, we were seeing highs in the mid 70s, but on that day we were facing temperatures in the 50s with crazy wind. Now, we love a good gust of wind, because when it hits our brides’ hair just right, we call it “Beyonce wind,” and we’re sure you can guess why we call it that. So not only were we dealing with temperatures 20+ degrees less than we were expecting, we were also battling the not-good-kind of wind. Anna & Rusty were so patient with us as we battled the wind and attempted to use it’s powers for good, and we got some amazing shots! Anna’s gorgeous dresses were perfect for a windy day, and we love how the breeze caught the train! And those leopard print shoes! You’ll see what we mean below.
Throughout the session, Anna clung to Rusty so tightly. We know that it was partially because she was in a knee-length dress and he was wearing a wool blazer and she was trying to get all the body heat she could! But it was also because these two are clearly made for each other. Their connection is so effortless and genuine. They fit together so perfectly, and we’re so excited to celebrate their marriage at their wedding at Bridgestreet Gallery & Loft in downtown Birmingham, Alabama! It’s going to be an amazing day!
