Cassie & Seth

We had a great time in New Orleans this past weekend. It was what Jamie asked for for her birthday – some time to just get away for a little while. We enjoyed hanging out with the crazies on Bourbon Street, riding bikes by the river, browsing the French Market, eating beignets, shopping the outlet malls, checking out all of the beautiful homes in the Garden District, etc. etc. But, possibly the best highlight for us was meeting up with Cassie and Seth to shoot their engagement photos.

We made the connection with Cassie and Seth through a mutual friend of ours, and since we would be in New Orleans anyway, it was the perfect time to snap some photos of this cute couple. With Cassie and Seth’s navigational help, we shot in the heart of the French Quarter to capture a true New Orleans look. The shotgun houses and old hotels made for the perfect backdrop for the session, and Cassie and Seth were great sports about helping us get the shots we were looking for. They would stand out in the middle of the road and hold a kiss until Jamie would scream “CAR!!” and then we’d all run for cover. Photo shoots on busy streets take a lot of patience, but we’re so grateful that Cassie and Seth saw our vision and were along for the ride.

Even better than the shoot itself was the time we spent with these two after the session ended. They took us outside of the “touristy” area of New Orleans to a pub that they frequent. We really enjoyed getting to know these two and spending a couple of hours with them. They shared our weird/quirky sense of humor, and they were both hilariously sarcastic which made for a memorable night for us NOLA newbies. We really look forward to our paths crossing again in the future!

Cassie and Seth will tie the knot in October 2015 in New Orleans, and we hope it is everything that they’ve dreamed of! Congrats, guys, and laissez les bons temps rouler!
