If you know us well, you know that one of our favorite pastimes is to watch The Voice. We love watching extremely talented people get a break and the exposure that comes with a primetime NBC television show. Well, one of our favorite artists to perform on the show was Luke Wade, a pop/soul singer-songwriter out of Fort Worth, Texas. This season, he was the one that we clapped for (in our living room as if he could hear us) and voted for after each episode. We discovered some of his original music, and quickly became fans.
When we heard Luke Wade and No Civilians (his band) were coming to Birmingham, we bought a couple of tickets and looked forward to the show, but even better than that – we had the opportunity to photograph the whole night. Check out some of our favorites below.
Complete with a horn section, the band gives off great energy and performs with the perfect combination of passion and proficiency. We can’t stress this enough – Luke and No Civilians are ridiculously talented. You should check out Luke’s Facebook here, and visit his website here. All of his music is on iTunes, and is a great edition to your music library. If you ever get the chance to see Luke Wade and No Civilians live, do yourself a favor and buy tickets. You won’t be disappointed.
