Gulf Shores Alabama Beach Wedding Day Jamie & Ben

When we introduced you to Jamie and Ben in the blog post from their engagement session (see here!), we brought up the fact that they are the power couple. They’re driven and ambitious, but the drive and ambition doesn’t only apply to their professional lives. It also applies perfectly to their relationship and their love for one another. When we arrived to begin photographing the wedding day as Jamie was applying makeup (bride Jamie, not photographer Jamie, just to clarify 😉 ) and Ben was hanging out with his groomsmen, you could sense the anticipation from both of them. The excitement was overwhelming, because to Jamie and Ben, it marked the beginning of something they’ve dreamed of since the beginning of their relationship. It marked the beginning of the longest chapter they’ll write in their book. Marriage – together, forever. And the same type of drive and ambition that these two pour into their personal and professional development will obviously be poured into this new adventure. As we listened to their vows to each other, you could hear how intently Jamie cares for Ben, and Ben for Jamie. They are each other’s best friend, confidant, partner, ride or die. And the world needs to get out of their way, because they are going to do great things in life.

We loved celebrating their union with their closest friends and family for an intimate ceremony just steps from the beach. It was such a treat to visit the beach during the winter months. The crowds were low, but the beauty and serenity were just the same. The weather was incredible – such a beautiful short escape from north-central Alabama’s cold winter temperatures. And that sunset over Orange Beach, Alabama at Perdido Beach Resort – we’re not sure we’ve seen anything like it! We also loved the personal details these two poured into their wedding day. We’d have to say that our favorite was the incorporation of their name tags from Alabama’s college orientation, where they first met. We loved the full circle moment there!  

Jamie and Ben, you two are such a joy! Thank you for entrusting us with your memories. You two have such a special, undeniable type of love, and we consider it an honor that we got to witness it firsthand! Your vows brought tears to our eyes, and we have no doubt that you two are going to use your marriage to do INCREDIBLE things!! We love you two. Congratulations!
