Boy meets girl. Girl gets hit by car in school parking lot. Boy checks on girl. Girl has boyfriend who is not the boy. Boy wins girl over and eventually marries girl. Boy and girl have the most heartfelt, joyful wedding day. That’s the gist of Ashlyn & AJ’s love story. Of course, we left out some details like their time together in the Jacksonville State Marching Band and how their friends forced them to dance together at a drum line party, but that’s the nutshell version. However the details played out, we are so thankful for the series of events that brought these two together, and we know they are, too.

Ashlyn is not only a precious bride and a sweet friend, she’s also a fellow member of our own Birmingham wedding industry! She works for Hothouse Design Studio and she has amazing taste, so we knew it was going to be an incredible day! We’re calling this wedding a “floral wonderland,” because there isn’t a better way to describe it. Aside from Ashlyn’s beautiful smile and AJ’s obvious love for his bride, that’s what you’ll notice from the images below – florals upon florals and bold, vibrant colors! This wedding was a photographer’s dream in more ways than one.
