Birmingham Botanical Gardens Railroad Park Engagement Session Ashlyn & Ryan

Could we ask for anything more when it comes to an engagement session? An incredible couple with an amazing attitude and some serious model skills… check! Gorgeous light and beautiful weather despite a chance of rain in the forecast… check, check! Amazing outfit choices by our fashionista (and fashinisto!) couple… check, check, check! We loved our time with Ashlyn & Ryan, and having them in front of our cameras was a blast!

We were worried about some scattered showers the morning of their engagement session. We heard sirens as we were photographing at Birmingham Botanical Gardens – our first instinct was that it was a tornado siren. But, Ryan, who is a professional golfer, informed us that it was a siren that meant that the rain was 5 minutes away. Sure enough, it did begin to spinkle about five minutes later, but it cleared up quickly!

These are a joy to be around and an ease to photograph, and that makes us SO excited for their wedding day. Won’t they be gorgeous in a tux and gown!? They are tying the knot soon at Opelika Baptist Church and celebrating at Auburn University Club, and we are counting down the days. Stay tuned!
