Whitney and Taylor lived in the Destin, Florida area at the time of their engagement shoot (However, Whitney just started a new job in Birmingham! Woo hoo! Congrats!!), so we met in the middle for an adventure in Montgomery, Alabama. We shot first in Spectre – the fictitious town from the 2003 Tim Burton film, Big Fish. The movie set is still standing, and the fact that all the buildings are kind of falling apart made it even cooler. We also loved the Spanish moss! We don’t have Spanish moss up here in Birmingham, so when we’re around it, we love to shoot the light peeking through! The best part… the GOATS!! They are definitely NOT afraid of humans, and if they know you have any kind of food, they will not leave you alone! We had a bag of chips we were feeding them, and they chased us around until we had to throw it far away from us! We wish these photos had sound effects, because you’d hear a lot of obnoxious “BAAAAA-ing” in the background! After our time in Spectre, we went to downtown Montgomery to shoot around the Capitol (yesss, please!!) and Whitney and Taylor classed it up in their gorgeous outfits. Straight out of a magazine, we tell you.
We knew we loved Whitney and Taylor from our first Skype call, and we’ve become even more crazy about them after watching Taylor’s videos on Vine. Taylor is Vine famous, you guys, and we are not exaggerating. His videos star Taylor and his dog, Izzy, and Whitney makes the occasional cameo. They are so funny and we watch them all the time, so we definitely felt like we already knew this sweet couple before we ever even met them in person. The magic of social media, right? If you’re in the mood to laugh at cute dog videos, check out Twhite_4 on Vine!!
We absolutely can’t wait for Whitney and Taylor’s wedding in September!
