The “Back to School” season each year is a special time full of mixed emotions. Some mothers cry in the car line after dropping their child off for their first day, and some jump for joy that they finally are getting some much-needed “grown up time” after a long and exhausting summer. For most, it’s a little of both. No matter how many first days your family has had, the start of the school year signifies another year older and another year full of new experiences for students.
That’s one of the beautiful things about photography. We’re freezing time and saving a memory. This year, we offered a few mini session slots to commemorate the occasion, some fun with props and some capturing the natural moment as our eyes see it. A few of our favorite shots are below. This is what “Back to School 2014” looked like for some of the families we worked with, and we enjoy flattering ourselves by picturing these photographs framed on the mantle at these students’ high school graduation parties!
