We offer mini sessions every so often when we get the chance, but it’s getting harder and harder to find the time. We are so glad we were able to make a few mini sessions happen this time around (with a few more coming to the blog soon!) because this group was precious!
First, we met with the Knapp family – Amanda, Shane and Beck. With little ones like Beck, no one quite knows how to make them cheese for the camera better than their parents. Amanda and Shane let us in on the secrets. To get Beck to look at the camera, all we had to do was sneeze or cough, pretend like we were in pain, or call his dog’s name. It worked every time! Hey, everyone’s different. Beck was also amazed by the cars that drove by. He would point and make the cutest face, so we knew to have the camera ready when a car was approaching. We really enjoyed this session with this beautiful family!
Amanda #2 for the day is a friend of ours and also is the mother of the world’s cutest kid, Miss Adelaide, so when she asked for a session with us, we were stoked! We’ve only met Adelaide briefly before, so this was our first time to spend some real time with her. The first thing she said was “Hello, my name is Adelaide” in the most articulate little voice, and she SHOOK OUR HAND. Y’all. She is TWO!
This was a very high-energy photo shoot, and Adelaide was full of excitement! She meowed a lot like a cat, which was stinkin’ adorable, and so we did a lot of meowing in return to get her to look at the camera. Adelaide, Amanda and Michele, Adelaide’s grandmother, came sporting blazers so they could all dress similar, which was a great idea. Adelaide and Amanda also wore matching Chuck Taylors, and it doesn’t get much cuter than that. Indulge in said cuteness below.
We also got to spend some time with Hannah and Mary Katherine Barnes, the daughters of Jamie’s former high school biology teacher. Jamie loved catching up with Ms. Barnes and meeting her beautiful daughters. They were decked out in their Alabama gear and were ready to cheer on their team that afternoon. I don’t know if we jinxed it or what, because Alabama didn’t play so well that day…. Roll Tide anyway 😉
These two were fantastic little models. Hannah was all about posing for the camera, and even though Mary Katherine wasn’t too keen on the idea at first, she definitely warmed up to the whole process. Hannah also LOVES her big sister and wanted to hug on her the whole time, and Mary Katherine was very patient and sweet to her. There were definitely many “aww” moments during this shoot. Check out a few of their photos below. Aren’t they pretty!?
