We tend to fall in love with our clients. We talk about them a lot and reminisce on how beautiful they were on their wedding day. We’re not sure if it’s normal, but it’s just how we are. Alison and Dustin were certainly no exception to our client obsessions. These are two genuinely kind and light-hearted individuals who love each other a ridiculous amount, and we still talk about how awesome they are on the reg. It was definitely a wedding for the books. Jamie shed a few tears (go figure…) when Dustin sent Alison roses that morning, when they finally saw each other during their first look and of course during the very sentimental ceremony that was officiated by none other than Alison’s father (pass the tissues, please!). Their love was contagious and oh so obvious. It was beautiful.
This wedding took place at Woodson Hollow Farms in Eclectic, Alabama, and we’re giving a shameless plug for this venue because it is BRAND NEW and BEAUTIFUL! Alison and Dustin were the first wedding on the property. It has such a rustic feeling with the ceremony benches, hay bales and farmland, but it’s also a very modern establishment adorned with contemporary architecture and decor. It certainly has a little bit for everyone. We can see any bride being able to make her wedding day at this venue her own special day because the opportunities are endless. Not to mention, the Colliers are sweet owners who cater to the couples’ every need to make their wedding a day to remember. We definitely hope to be back at Woodson Hollow for future weddings.
It was a perfect October Saturday – not too hot, but not too cold. Alison was relaxed and stress free all morning (probably because she already knew she was going to be a stunning bride – check out her bridal photos here taken a few weeks before the big day!), and it was a day full of laughter and mimosas. Every little detail was spot on, from the invitations and the floral arrangements, to the tablescapes and the white pumpkins. Some of our favorite aspects of this wedding include the impromptu conga line, which included sombreros, that broke out during the reception and the delicious make-your-own s’mores bar. Can you think of anything better for a fall Alabama wedding? We can’t.
It’s couples like this one and their celebrations of love that make us love our job so deeply. Thank you, Alison and Dustin, for having us be a part of your special day. We can’t think of anywhere else we would have rather been!
