Best of 2015: Engagements

Happy Friday, friends! Let’s take a moment to stop and really think here…There are now less than TWO WEEKS left in 2015. Can you believe it!? It seems like just yesterday we were ringing in the new year and celebrating our first marriage anniversary, but our calendar says that was a while ago! Time really does fly when you’re having fun! And speaking of fun, as the year comes to a close, we’ve been really reflecting on the most amazing couples we’ve gotten to spend time with, and we’re so grateful because we’ve had so much FUN! From coffee dates to the wedding day, we’ve had such a great time getting to know and love some really fantastic new friends.

Somewhere in the “getting to know you” process, in between that first coffee date and the ceremony, the engagement session happens. And boy, do we LOVE engagement sessions! The engagement session, in our opinion, is such an important part of the whole process! First of all, it’s a really exciting milestone of the engagement, and during the session, someone usually says something along the lines of… “WOW. We’re REALLY getting married!” It becomes really real at that point. It also gives us the opportunity to really develop a relationship with our couples and gives us a glimpse into their love for one another, which we believe it necessary to achieve those genuine images that displays their individual love. Engagement sessions are also such a great way to ensure smooth sailing for the wedding day. Many times, the couple has never had a photo session of the two of them together, or separately, for that matter. So it’s like a wedding warmup! Our couples can get an understanding of how we work together and how we work with them, and it gets them comfortable with each other in front of the camera. All of those reasons make engagement sessions a win/win!

So, because we believe the engagement session is such an integral part of it all, we’re featuring some of our favorite moments from our 2015 engagement sessions (with a couple of anniversary sessions thrown in there because the married couples still got it!). It was so incredibly difficult narrowing this blog down (if it was up to us, you’d be scrolling, scrolling and scrolling through our sweet couples’ beautiful mugs all day long!), but we figured we had to put a cap on it! So, here they are, without further ado – The Best of 2015: Engagements!
