We just don’t know where to begin with this one, you guys! It was a perfect day, and we loved everything about it. From the sentimental gifts, to the silly jokes and constant laughter, Madison and Patrick’s big day was heartfelt and joyful in every way. Aside from the stunning florals and the beauty that is Madison in her wedding gown (wow!), we think that’s what stood out to us the most – the joy.
We started the day at Shades Mountain Baptist Church where we watched as Madison and Patrick exchanged gifts with those closest to them. Madison got Patrick personalized cufflinks and a notebook full of all the reasons she loved him. Patrick gave Madison a beautiful gold bracelet with her favorite bible verse engraved, Proverbs 3:5 (Trust in the Lord with all your heart, and lean not on your own understanding). Madison received her grandmother’s ring from her parents, and she carried a photo of her on her bouquet, gifted by none other than one of the maids of honor. And that’s just touching the surface. This wedding day was full of sentiment, nostalgia, and so much love between this couple, their families and their friends.
We’ll never forget the first looks. When Madison’s bridesmaids first saw Madison in her gown, the screams may have busted an eardrum, and the tears may have inspired a couple of our own. Then, when Patrick turned around and laid eyes on his bride, we couldn’t help but chuckle as he said “OH MY GOSH. You look amazing! Are you even real!?” She really did look that good, y’all. We can’t blame him for thinking that she may have been a figment of our imaginations!
Afterward, we headed to Hoover Country Club for couples portraits and to snap a few with two very important members of Madison’s family, Lily and Princess, the Wilson family Chihuahuas decked out in their lace collars for the occasion. We battled the gale force winds (Madison had a mouth full of veil, so we took it out and continued without it! Whew! It’s been a windy April!) and shared lots of laughs and car selfies. Next, these two gave each other their forevers in a beautiful ceremony, and then danced the night away at their evening reception full of delicious Italian dinner, cake and ice cream, a coffee bar, photo booth fun, sorority sing alongs, and a gorgeous sparkler exit.
Madison and Patrick, you’re a one-of-a-kind couple. You balance each other out perfectly. When Patrick is nervous and focused, Madison calms him down, and when Madison is over-thinking, Patrick is there to say “Hey, babe. We’ve got this.” We can’t thank you enough for allowing us to be a part of your incredible wedding day and for making us feel like we were part of the family! You both are so incredibly special to us! Congratulations, sweet friends! You did it!
