Jordan and Spencer have known each other since elementary school. Jordan says that she didn’t too know much about Spencer for a while, though, only that he wore a lot of camo (ha!) and that he was a “nerdy goody two-shoes.” Fast forward to the summer before 9th grade (they weren’t even in high school yet!!), and Jordan asked Spencer to be her date to a dance team “date party.” Spencer agreed, and that’s where it all started. They’ve been together since 9TH GRADE, you guys!!
When she reminisces about the beginning of their relationship, Jordan talks about the text message that he sent her when they left the football game where Spencer asked Jordan to officially be his girlfriend. It read, “hey buddy.” We think that is so adorable because, 1) that’s typical young teenager for you, 2) it was obvious that he didn’t want to stop talking to her. It’s awesome, too, that he used the word “buddy,” because the friendship between these two were so unbelievably obvious during their engagement session. Yes, they kissed, held hands, “canoodled” as we like to say – but the playfulness between them was undeniable. The team mentality between them. They are best friends, and they have been since they were 14 years old. Isn’t that beautiful? We think it comes across in the photos. We think you can read their history on their faces.
Jordan and Spencer are getting married in August, and we are looking so forward to it. It will be a special one for us because we get to spend the day with these two again and because Jamie has known Jordan’s family for years! Jordan’s mom was Jamie’s 5th grade teacher (that she loved!), so this will be a fun one! We can’t wait to see 10 years of love culminate into a lifetime of commitment through marriage! Bring on August 6th!
