To My Wife On Her Birthday

Dear Jamie,

You’re lying next to me as I write this, sound asleep. It’s something I haven’t been able to witness much lately. Mostly because by the time our heads hit the pillow, we’re out like a light. The past two months have been go go go non-stop and have been the craziest two months of our business – and life, really – so far. But for the next 24 hours, we’re taking the time to slow down and celebrate life. Your life. Because it’s worth celebrating.

No amount of birthday gifts or gestures of gratitude can fully represent how grateful I am to watch you turn another year wiser and another year more beautiful (you haven’t fully accepted the “another year older” part). There are so many things that you should be proud of. You’re a go-getter, a driven woman who fully believes in the philosophy that YOLO, and you have a work ethic that inspires me daily. The amount of energy that you put into our business is mind boggling. But more than that, you should be proud of who you are as a person. All of that drive and passion you have for our business is multiplied by 10 when talking about the amount of passion you have for our marriage and the relationships with the people closest to you. I’m so proud of who you are, and so honored to be your husband. It’s the greatest blessing in the world. To say you are a good wife is an understatement. You are the BEST wife I could ever ask for.
