Meredith and Dan met while attending the University of Montevallo, and they have been inseparable ever since! We loved hearing their engagement story and how Dan tricked Meredith into coming to the top of the City Federal Building in downtown Birmingham by telling a story about how one of his friends needed help party planning. We loved it more because we can relate to it so much. Meredith says that Dan was acting so strange at dinner and constantly looking at his phone and rushing her to finish her meal. Then, on the way home, Dan suggested that they stop by his friend’s house to help him plan a party of the roof, and of course, Meredith was like, “huh!?” We love hearing engagement stories like this because they are so realistic! Most of these stories we hear involve guys sweating and acting strange and girls calling them out on it, and we love it! We love the little details that show how excited and nervous the guy is to finally ask the woman of his dreams to be his wife, and we love hearing how the girl, who knows her future husband inside and out, is pretty puzzled by his different behavior. That’s exactly how our proposal story went, and we think there’s something so romantic in those little details.
These two are so easy to spend time with and so easy to photograph. We loved learning more about them as a couple and hearing about Dan’s love for hockey and Meredith’s love for her meaningful work at a children’s center. And when we’re not with them, it’s pretty safe to bet that we are on Meredith’s Facebook page. Seriously… she gets the award for most entertaining Facebook content. Hilarious cat videos, proposal videos that make us (Jamie) cry, and articles about some newly discovered scientific theory that blows our minds… it’s all right there on Meredith’s Facebook page! It’s where we get all of our daily distractions, for sure!
Meredith and Dan are tying the knot this weekend at the beautiful Park Crest with an incredible team of vendors, and we absolutely can’t wait! We know this one will be a special one! Let’s do this!
